What gets deleted

Your profile - name, handle, email, date of birth, phone number and picture - along with your cart, your saved items, your saved addresses, linked social accounts, and any listing nobody has bought. What remains of the account shows only as "Deleted user".

Reviews you have written are anonymised rather than removed: the rating stays attached to the product and shows as written by a deleted user. Ask us and we will delete the text of a review as well.

What we have to keep

Your sign-in and security history is kept for up to twelve months from each entry and then deleted automatically. Deleting it on request would let someone who had taken over your account close it and erase the evidence.

Records of completed orders, including the amount, the tax and the date, are kept for seven years because Canadian tax law requires it. They are reduced to what the record needs and are not used for anything else.

If you sold on CodedCart, listings that have been bought are taken off the store but stay on the buyer's order, because an order has to keep saying what was bought.

An order still being paid for or delivered, bought or sold, has to finish first. Deletion is refused until it has, and the page tells you why.

How long it takes

Signed in, you can delete your account yourself from the security page on the website or in the app. It happens immediately and signs you out everywhere.

If you cannot sign in, send a request from this page. We confirm it by email within three business days and complete it within 30 days.

Either way the account cannot be recovered afterwards, and your email address and handle are free to use again.

If you signed in with a social account

Deleting here removes what CodedCart holds. It does not affect your Google, Apple, Facebook, X or GitHub account - revoke our access from that provider's own settings if you want to cut the connection as well.
